It seems everybody is going a little stir crazy at home. So, we have taken the time to put some information on how Big River Kennels is responding together for you.
Transparency on Disinfectants and Cleaning Measures
We use a disinfectant with an EPA (Reg. No.10324-141-81973) number listed on List N: Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2. List N includes products that meet EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19. Kennels are cleaned after each dog and on a regular schedule during longer stays. Main areas are wiped down daily. Toys and community property are disinfected every 24 hours.
Extended Hours
We are offering extended pick-up and drop-off hours for medical professionals and first responders. Please call us with your specific need and we will work it out.
Compliance with State & Federal Recommendations
As of March 27, 2020 we are not listed on the mandatory closed list for the state of Alabama. We are open for boarding, daycare, and training.
However, in order to provide enough space for everyone to remain the recommended 6-foot distance during pickup and drop-off, we have opened our new building early, and request that only one client family be in the building at each time. Should anyone needing our services feel more comfortable, we can also offer car-side service with payment on-line and minimal person-to-person contact. We will update this policy as new recommendations arise.

BRK 10/day Daycare Punch Pass: Buy 9/days at $180 and get one day free. Total of 10 daycare days.
BRK 20/day Daycare Punch Pass: Buy 18/days at $360 and get two days free. Total of 20 daycare days.
We have added new services to meet your changing needs.
Hiking Hounds Mini-Day Pass: If you need some peace at home to work or just need to get Fido out of the house for a while, we are offering half-day daycare with a 30-minute Nature Hike package for $15. (Normally a $27 value.)

We have added virtual training.
For dogs that have recently graduated from training camp and are due for a follow-up class, we are able to conduct those virtually, rather than in-person, if you so choose. Please call or text us to schedule a time. It will be a new adventure for all of us!
