About Us

Big River Ranch & Kennels is a small 10-acre hobby farm in Western Wisconsin. We moved from the "city" to the "country" in February 2004 because we wanted more room for our kids and our bulldogges. We came up with the name "Big River" because The Big River runs through the back of our property (even though it is more like a creek). We have a barn that is 60' x 210' that houses our pets. The front 1/3 of the barn is kennel area for the bulldogges and is heated and has it's own power and water.

Our pets consist of the following:

8 Renascence Bulldogges - Elmo, Ember, Tilly, Tika, Smokey, Bandit and Ginny;
10 Cows;
1 Horse - Mae;
10 (or so) Barn Cats - I could name them all, but I think you would lose interest.....

Pete is the Field Superintendent for an excavating company in the Mpls./St. Paul metro area. Lana is a Marketing Specialist/Paraplanner for a financial services firm in St. Paul. We have six children - Aaron (20), Nick (18), Letitia (13); Alecia (13); Max (11) and Molly (9). We all take part in raising and caring for all the animals here at Big River and we enjoy each and every one of them!
